WORK TOGETHER FOR A SAFE AND HEALTHY ENVIRONMENT

Coronavirus (COVID-19) is a respiratory illness caused by a new strain of virus, and we are learning more about it every day. There is currently no vaccine to protect against COVID-19. At this point, the best way to prevent infection is to avoid being exposed to the virus that causes it. Stopping transmission (spread) of the virus through everyday practices is the best way to keep people healthy.


  • Wash your hands often with soap and water.
  • Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol if soap and water are not available.
  • Cover your coughs and sneezes with a tissue or your sleeve.
  • Clean frequently touched surfaces and objects (for example, TV remotes, phones and computers).
  • Stay home when sick.

  • If you need medical care CALL AHEAD if you have a fever, cough or shortness of breath or at least two of these symptoms noted below
  • Lead with SAFETY - stay at least SIX FEET away
  • Limit travel unless deemed necessary
  • Traveling from a COVID-19 HOT SPOT, you will be required to self-quarantine for 14 days once you get to ND or SD.

    The ND Department of Health hotline number is 1-866-207-2880 for the public to contact for information regarding the Coronavirus and any concerns they may have. This hotline is currently open 7 am-7 pm CT however these hours may be adjusted.
