Population Health Nurse - FT

This is a full time RN position that will coordinate team-based care to provide health services to individuals, through effective partnerships with patients, their families, community resources, and their physician. This position will facilitate a "shared goal model" within and across settings to achieve coordinated high-quality care that is patient and family centered.

Current RN license
3-5 years experience in clinical or community health settings preferred

Allied Health Professional (PA or FNP) - Emergency Room - FT

This positions is for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide first call coverage in the emergency room and Saturday walk-in clinic of WRHS in conjunction with the physician providers. This position will assist as appropriate with management of emergency situations and help to coordinate transfer and follow up care as directed by the on-call physician.

Education:   Graduate of an accredited training program in PA or NP studies.

Licensure:   Current, unencumbered license to practice as a PA or NP in the state of North Dakota.

Quality/Risk Manager - FT

This position is a FT managerial position! Duties include:

Establishes and coordinates the quality management and risk management program. Serves as a representative to patients, families, and visitors; as a liaison between the patient and visitors; as a liaison between the patient and the institution to identify patients’ non-medical needs; interprets policies, procedures, resources, philosophy and core values; and relays concerns identified to appropriate managerial personnel.

Education:      Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing, BSN preferred.

Experience:     Three to five years clinical nursing experience is required. Two years additional experience in management, quality management, risk management, or infection control is preferred.

Licensure Requirements: Eligible for or current licensed as an R.N. in the state of North Dakota. Certification in the National Association for Healthcare Quality is preferred.

Would consider someone who has Data Processing experience.

Document Imaging Specialist - PT

This position is for 25 hr/week. Benefits available!

Oversees and facilitates prepping, batching, scanning and indexing medical record information to include correspondences on another facility, records not available in the information systems, patient charges and any other incoming information regarding a patient. Quality checks are completed to demonstrate accuracy.

WRHS has two openings in our housekeeping department, one FT/PT housekeeper,  and one Supplemental Housekeeper. Flex scheduling optional.

This person does the cleaning in all areas of the hospital and clinic as designated.
Duties include dusting, mopping, washing furniture and walls with cleaning solutions and disinfectants, wash beds and empty waste baskets from designated areas

Clinical IT Coordinator - FT

The Clinical IT Coordinator is responsible for implementing and supporting WRHS clinical applications and departments. This position will serve as a day-to-day contact person for the end-users of clinical modules, identify and assist in the resolution of issues arising in the clinical modules, train users in the use of clinical and other assigned applications, and other duties as they arise. This position is flexible to be 32-40 hours per week. A bachelor degree in a computer-related or clinical field is required.

Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant - FT or PT

West River Health Services has an exciting opportunity for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner. The qualified individual must have a desire to serve patients and be self-motivated. PAs and/or NPs also must have excellent rapport with patients, emotional stability, and the ability to make decisions in emergencies. The ideal candidate must be motivated to continue their education as needed to maintain the high standard of care demonstrated throughout WRHS. The individual must have the following qualifications: ACLS Certified, ND and SD licensure, willingness to accept a flexible schedule and be a team player. Experience in Ambulatory Care is preferred and ER call may be required. This position can be PT or FT and general hours are 8am to 5pm depending facility need. This opening is based out of Hettinger, ND; however will require travel to various satellite clinics.

**Sign on Bonus Available** Cook/Food Service Worker - PT/FT

Food Service Worker a good option for a student! Must be 16 or older. Positions available for 24-40 hours per week.
Provides service to patients and to staff and guests in the cafeteria. The hours are 5:30am to 2:00pm and 11:00am to 7:30pm rotating shifts. Every third weekend and Holidays required with weekend shift hours slightly different from weekends.

Hospital RN - FT/PT

West River Health Services has current openings for Registered Nurse(s) in the hospital. The selected individual will work with physicians and Chief Nurse Officer in providing quality patient care. Qualified candidate must have a current RN license.

Medical Technologist- FT

This person would be responsible for quality laboratory results in an efficient and timely manner according to written procedures. 
Responsibilities include: (but not limited to)
  • Collect Specimens
  • Perform Veinipunctures
  • Perform Capillary sticks and Arterials.

Must have a B.S degree in Medical Technology/ Clinical Laboratory Science. Must be registered by the American Society of Clinical Pathologist, Equivalent, or eligible. Must be Licensed by the ND Board of Clinical Laboratory Practice. This is a 40 hour a week position with rotating shifts of nights, weekends, on call and Holidays.

Speech Pathologist/Therapist - PT/FT

This individual is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of speech therapy. Provides patient care when indicated at his/her discretion. Ensures quality patient care and patient satisfaction. Will organize and administer his/her job function and programs. Possibility of a part time position or a full time position.
Qualifications: Has graduated with a master's degree in Speech Pathology. Has fulfilled all requirements for receipt of Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Pathology (CCC-SP) including satisfactory completion of Clinical Fellowship Year, approval of membership application by the American Speech and hearing Association (ASHA), and passing the ASHA exam. Meets requirements in ND and SD Century Code for licensure and Standard of Practice.

Business Office Coordinator - FT

The qualified individual will oversee all function of the Business Office including but not limited to the scheduling, switchboard, receptionist and registration functions. This position also evaluates staffing needs and produces monthly schedules, assures that patient hospital charges are input in a timely and accurate manner and compiles report and statistics as needed. When needed this individual may need to cover night clinic and weekend shifts. This individual must have excellent computer skills, enjoy a fast paced environment and have excellent verbal/written communication skills.

Medical Receptionist - Eye Clinic - SUPP

This position is a supplemental receptionist position to work with the public, physician, and staff to ensure the facility operates as smoothly and efficiently as possible, maintain files, insurance information, and do general accounting in a clinic setting.

Administrator - FT

Western Horizons Care Center has an immediate opening for a Full Time Administrator.

This position is responsible for the professional, economical and efficient operation of the Western Horizons Living Centers and its departments for the betterment of the residents, tenants, patients and their families, and employees. The Administrator/COO is also responsible for all properties owned or acquired by Western Horizons Living Centers and also acts as a liaison between residents, staff, tenants, and patients.

Responsible for planning, organizing, staffing, directing and coordinating of the organization staff to ensure quality care for residents of Western Horizons Living Centers; to be knowledgeable of and implementing federal, state and local laws and regulations applicable to the facility and residents, personnel, and physical plant.

Responsible for planning, organizing and carrying out the assigned duties and responsibilities in accordance with current existing federal and state regulations and established policies and procedures.

Essential Job Requirements: 

Education:      As required by state and federal laws, but at least a B. S. degree from an accredited college or university, and preferably a major or minor in healthcare administration and a master’s degree.           

Experience:     Not less than 5 years experience in a hospital or nursing home with a preference to such experience in long-term care. Leadership, communication, nursing home regulations and standards, budgeting, personnel and business administration, public and community relations, relations with other healthcare providers, ability to handle crisis situations and make judgments and decisions.

Licensure Requirements:       Hold a current, unencumbered nursing facility administrator’s license in this state.

Western Horizons Care Center - CNA - FT/PT or SUPP

Western Horizons Care Center - CNA - FT/PT or SUPP

This position is with the new Western Horizons Care Center. The individual will assist the nursing staff with caring for residents at the facility. Some duties include transport, bathe, and dress and assist residents with daily grooming tasks. Addition tasks will include assisting with meals and making beds. The qualified candidate will provide an ongoing objective evaluation of the important aspects of patients’ care through; reviewing the charts, interviewing residents and working with nurses and physicians. This position at Western Horizons Care Center will prepare, cook, season, and serve adequate, attractive, nutritious, and balanced meals. This positions also helps clean the dietary work area.

Qualifications: High diploma preferred, but at a minimum the ability to write and read English.

Tenant Assistant - PT
