Dr. Steven Kilwein is a doctor of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery. In March, he passed his surgical boards and received recertification on his American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery.

Dr. Kilwein has practiced at West River Since 1990. He is married to Mary and has three children: Cloe, Tess and Christian. He is board-certified in Podiatric Surgery, and a Fellow of American Board of Podiatric Surgery, a member of American Podiatric Medical Assn., past president of ND Podiatric Medical Assn., President elect of ND Board of Podiatric Medical Examiners, and a past member of the ND Medicare Carrier Advisory Committee. He serves on several West River Health Services committees: safety, library education, wound care, diabetic team, recruitment, equipment, and operations council.

A native of New England, Dr. Kilwein is a graduate of St. Mary’s High School, received his undergraduate degree from Dickinson State University and went on to receive his master’s degree in physical education, exercise physiology, and athletic training from the University of Iowa in Iowa City. He attended medical school at the College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery in Des Moines. He completed his residency at Roseland Surgical Center, Roseland, NJ.
