Medicare beneficiaries are eligible to receive coverage for an Annual Wellness Visit (AWV). This visit is covered 100%, there will be no co-pay or co-insurance. This provider encounter will be different, as it promotes health and wellness, and disease prevention. It will be a yearly office visit that focuses on health promotion.

During the AWV, the beneficiary will have their health history reviewed and ensure their medication list is up-to-date. Important screenings will be completed, personal health advice and counseling will be provided, and a personalized prevention plan will be created.

This visit is different than a physical, and we feel it is very important that our patients make use of this preventive service that is provided with their Medicare benefits.”
