Twenty-six kids attended Shelly's Safety Day on July 13 and 14. The event was organized by West River Ambulance and West River Health Services Community Health and Wellness department.

This event is held in memory of Shelly Johnson who was killed in a tragic automobile accident in 1998. Shelly had her young daughter properly buckled in the vehicle, her daughter's life was spared in this accident.
