The corporate structure of the organization is comprised of three 501C3 (not for profit) corporations. WRHSF is the Foundation/ fundraising and Parent Corporation. WRHS is the healthcare services (hospital, clinics and other healthcare services) corporation. Western Horizons Living Centers is the care centers (skilled and assisted living) corporation. Each corporation has board members from across the geographic area served by the organization. It is the largest medical complex in Adams County and serves 20,000 people in 20,000 square miles.

Rural people deserve as high-quality medical care as their urban counterparts. To provide this level of care, a sophisticated medical system has evolved in southwestern North Dakota. West River Health Services Board of Directors, Administration, Medical staff, and Employees have and are working hard for the growth and improvement of the medical system.
