Rural people deserve as high-quality medical care as their urban counterparts. To provide this level of care, a sophisticated medical system has evolved in southwestern North Dakota. West River Health Services Board of Directors, Administration, Medical staff, and Employees have and are working hard for the growth and improvement of the medical system. As a result of this commitment, it is one of the most progressive and complete rural healthcare systems available in a three-state area, perhaps in the nation. West River has received national and regional recognition for outstanding and innovative service in rural health care.
It is our mission to provide the highest possible standard of healthcare. This standard is reflected by the state-of-the-art technology available for diagnostic purposes, as well as by the caring attitude of the employees toward the patient. At WRHS you receive "big city" medical treatment with small-town friendliness and individual caring.
West River Health Services dedication to Quality FirstTM is embodied in our Core Values, which are displayed throughout the organization. It is our own individual dedication to excellence in practice, innovation in service, compassion for the people we serve, and respect for one another, that takes those values from being mere words on paper demonstrating our commitment.

COMPASSION FOR THE PEOPLE WE SERVE - A soft touch of the hand, a warm smile, a kind word of support, the silent flow of a tear - ways in which members of the WRHS family share themselves on a daily basis are demonstrations of our dedication to and compassion for the people we serve. These personal touches, added to our technical expertise, turn medical service into quality care with dignity.
RESPECT FOR ONE ANOTHER - Respect is the term we use to show consideration for one another. Through mutual respect for each other, we built ourselves into a team - The West River Health Services Care Team.
