West River Health Services Ambulance in Hettinger recently achieved recognition as being a ‘Pediatric Prepared’ ambulance service by the ND Emergency Medical Services for Children program.

In order to be named Pediatric Prepared service, applicant agencies must achieve program standards in carrying pediatric equipment, receiving appropriate training, etc.

In addition, West River Health Services has two board-certified pediatricians on staff specializing in the medical care of infants, children and adolescents.

As part of voluntary recognition program, West River Health Services Ambulance was awarded a certificate of honor, as well as decals for the ambulances.
